Get Creative using only a Pen & Paper!
In today’s world, everything seems to be telling us to go online. If you want to read the local paper, you can read it online, if you want to find something out for school, you Google it. Nothing is as simple as it used to be.
However, here at Packme we want to keep things as simple as possible and get kids to use to learn something new without even realizing it and also having fun whilst doing it. Keeping kids entertained while being at the doctors or the dentist or even while they wait for their food at a restaurant, can be hard! Our aim is to keep them entertained while they wait and with National Handwriting Day coming up on 23rd January, we want to tell you about how our packs can help kids find learning fun.
How do we ensure our packs are Educational?
Here at Packme, we believe that the activity packs we create should be fun, but educational too. To ensure we do this right we talk to head-teachers, teachers and school governors about how best to achieve this while also incorporating the requirements of Keystage 1 and 2.
With the information we received from the people who work directly with the children who may be using these packs, we aim to complement the classroom environment by adopting the principles of kinesthetic learning.
Now, one in three parents (34%) give their children a smartphone or tablet to keep them occupied when out with the family. However we want to give them an alternative and educational option and that’s where our kids packs come into play.
How are our packs Educational?
In every pack we create, we have a booklet that has a space for children to get creative and draw what they like, or they may be blank character for them to colour in. This is a little fun and creative thing for them to do. Then we have some puzzles that will get their brains going, we have different games from spelling games, where there are letters and they have to create as many words as possible using the letters, or there may be something like a crossword or word search.
But not everything is about writing and words. We also want to get math’s involved with games that get the kids to use numbers or counting. Little things like this make learning fun for children and encourage them to want to educate themselves when they are not at school.
All of our off-the-shelf packs have different games and puzzles in, so they will get the kids thinking and learn something new with each pack. If you are looking to create your own pack then it is up to you what type of games, you have in there. Get in touch with the team today and create your very own educational pack that will keep kids entertained while out and about with the family.
