In memory of Antonio Carluccio: One from the archives

Packme are deeply saddened to learn that Antonio Carluccio, founder of Carluccios, has passed away. Carluccio's is an Italian restaurant chain founded in 1999, with over 80 locations in the UK. Packme created 3 activity packs for the restaurant chain some time ago, and we were thrilled that he was a part of the creative process, giving lots valuables input.

These activity packs were influenced by Carluccio’s love of Italian food, they hoped to educate and inspire children to eat well. Each character was uniquely designed around all of the food groups featured within the three different activity packs, Vegetables, Bread & Pasta. This was so successful, we went on to make three new designs based around Ice Cream, Olives and Tomatoes. 

The activity booklets contained interesting and educational facts about Italian cuisine to promote healthier eating habits. Having three different designs gave repeat visitors a selection to choose from.

We are proud that we were able to create this pack under the guidance of Antonio and his team.
